The Austin Improv Community is Gorgeous Now

One advantage of building an improv community in Austin, Texas, is that Austin, Texas, is full of tech savvy wizards. One such wizard is Keegan Hines.

Hines created a gigantic, whirling, interactive virtual representation of the Austin improv community. Click here and play with it for a moment. Mostly, though, just marvel at its complexity:

In a nutshell, this network shows how each Austin improviser is connected to every other Austin improviser. Keegan used the earlier genius of Peter RogersAustin Improv Wiki to populate his model.

Keegan also wrote a plain-language walk-through of how he put this amazing little piece of cyber architecture together. Even I understood it!

I mean, I can assure you the MMIC (the Missoula, Montana Improv Community) doesn’t have anything this snazzy.
